THE CHROMA KEY

Within a week Balz Isler and Oliver Roth are trespassing through the city with a 10x6 meter chromakey fabric wall. This green colored cloth is usually used for video and picture production. With this technic they take possession of situations and things in the public realm. The inconvenient procedure of working with very big telescopic rods is a performative act, that shows the attempt how we can digitally inherent the public and become owner of situations and objects. After a week Isler and Roth show the recorded videos in a lecture conference, that is not shaped in regularly narrated documentary style but showing a nebulous and collaged world. With this they are creating a very own form: A fictional documentary lecture, that is seeking to cross and overcome all boarders of fixed disciplines.
